Die Spitzen der Halme sind jeweils von den anderen Innenhöfen des Gefängnisses aus zu sehen. Sie ragen zudem über dessen Mauern hinaus und symbolisieren so die Freiheitssehnsucht der Gefangenen.

The tips of the blades can seen from all other inner courts of the prison. They also rise above the prison walls and thus symbolize the prisoners' longing for freedom.
